What To Expect

Slaughters Baptist Church is a caring congregation that welcomes anyone and everyone. We want you to discover the joy that we share when we come together to worship God in spirit and in truth. If you are planning to visit on a Sunday morning, here are some hints to help you find your way around and know what to expect.

How Do I Get to Slaughters Baptist Church?
We are located at 20 Rail Lake Dr., Slaughters, KY. The church can easily be seen from Highway 41. Parking is not a problem, as there are spaces in the front and rear of the church.

How Should I Dress?
Please, come as you are. We are more concerned about meeting your needs that what you wear. Some wear suits. Some wear jeans and a t-shirt. You can dress up, or dress casually. What matter most is that you are here.

What About My Children?
Slaughters Baptist Church encourages families to worship together. However, a nursery is available if needed.

Do You Have Sunday School?

Sunday mornings, you will be greeted by a smiling face when you enter our building. These greeters can direct you to the fellowship hall where volunteers will help you find a Bible Study class that is appropriate to your age and life stage. Sunday School starts at 9:45 am.

What Type of Worship Service Should I Expect?

After Sunday School, morning worship begins at 11:00 am in the sanctuary. Our members will guide you there. Near the beginning of the service you will be greeted with a smile and a warm handshake by one of our ministers or deacons. Please give us the opportunity to know you better by filling out a visitor's card. Please place the completed card in the offering plate or give it to a minister.

The order of service is traditional. But we sing hymns, praise songs, and for special music you may hear anything from Southern Gospel to Christian Rock. The pastor provides creative Biblical preaching in an environment where it’s okay to laugh, making worship a joyful experience. After worship, the pastor will be in the main lobby and would love to greet you personally. Once you've been a guest in one of our services, we hope that you will choose Slaughters Baptist Church to be your church home.

What About Evening Services?
Sunday evening service begins on Sunday nights at 6:30 pm with a short song service and sermon or Bible study. We have business meetings on the second Sunday of each month unless it falls on a holiday (which will move it to the first Sunday of the month). On Wednesday nights, we have a meal each week at 5:45 pm. Youth and children's classes, as well as adult Bible study, begins at 6:30 pm.
